Controls / Automation Engineer

Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Controls / Automation Engineer. Salary: 45,000 per annum Shifts: Monday to Friday - Days (6:00am-2:00pm or 7:00am-3:00pm) The Role Fault finding and programming of PLC-controlled machinery. Support and improve automated production equipment. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs. Diagnose electrical and control system faults. Assist with continuous improvement and automation projects. Commission new equipment and support installation work. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures. Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime. The Person Previous experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer or PLC Engineer. Strong PLC fault-finding experience (programming knowledge is advantageous). Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent). Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Able to read and interpret electrical drawings. Proactive approach with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
