Controls and Commissioning Engineer

Controls Engineer Location: Bungay, Suffolk Salary: 45,000 - 65,000 Working Pattern: Full-time, on-site If you''re spending more time maintaining old equipment than solving new engineering problems, this could be worth a look. We''re supporting a specialist automation business that designs and builds bespoke machinery for a broad range of manufacturing environments. Every project is different. The work is hands-on, varied and focused on getting complex automated systems running reliably in the real world. You''ll join a commissioning and controls team responsible for taking machines from build completion through testing, commissioning and customer sign-off. What you''ll be doing Programming and modifying PLC and HMI systems Commissioning automated machinery and production equipment Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and controls systems Configuring servo drives, VFDs and motion control systems Supporting machine testing and performance improvements Working closely with design, build and project teams to solve technical issues Documenting modifications and commissioning activities Occasional travel to customer sites within the UK and overseas What they''re looking for Experience within automation, special purpose machinery or machine building PLC programming experience using platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or similar Strong commissioning and fault-finding capability Understanding of HMIs, drives, motors and industrial networks ..... full job details .....
