Controls and Automation Maintenance Technician

We are Zenith are partnering with a leading high-volume manufacturer to recruit an Automation Maintenance Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional to join a highly automated production environment, playing a key role in maximising equipment reliability, supporting production performance, and driving continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation, and control system faults to minimise production downtime. Deliver both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across a range of automated manufacturing equipment. Work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, Assist with the commissioning, installation, and integration of new machinery and automation projects. Monitor equipment performance, identifying trends and implementing improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Take ownership of maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to agreed timescales. Support root cause investigations and implement robust corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, equipment uptime, quality, and waste reduction. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, spare parts records, and technical reports. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and wider site teams to achieve operational objectives.
