Breakdown Centre ControllerCoventry (Head Office - Office-Based) Full-time - 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required)The OpportunityWe are working with a leading organisation in the commercial vehicle sector, seeking an experienced Breakdown Centre Controller to join their central operations team.This is a fast-paced, critical role responsible for managing vehicle breakdowns, defects and tyre incidents efficiently, ensuring the best possible outcome in terms of cost, service levels and quality.You will play a key part in keeping customers operational by making the right decisions first time, coordinating resources and managing supplier performance.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage breakdowns, defects and tyre-related incidents across a national networkAssess incidents and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective solutionAllocate work to approved service providers, including workshops, dealers and mobile techniciansMonitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to service level agreementsControl and authorise repair costs in line with budgets and contractual agreementsManage and challenge supplier invoices, raising purchase orders where requiredTrack and control breakdown and tyre spendReview vehicle history systems to support informed decision-makingEnsure timely communication between all stakeholders, including customers and suppliersIdentify underperforming suppliers and recommend improvementsSupport recharge processes where applicableAbout YouPrevious ..... full job details .....
