Controls System Support Engineer Location: Ilkeston / UK Client Sites Employment: Permanent Sector: Controls, Automation and Engineering Salary: 50,000 - 65,000+ total package + benefits The Opportunity Discover are partnered with a specialist engineering business delivering complex control and automation solutions across critical UK infrastructure projects. Following a recent acquisition and the award of several new projects, the business is looking to add a Control Systems Support Engineer to its growing engineering team. This position will involve providing planned and reactive maintenance, technical support, fault finding and commissioning across client sites throughout the UK. This is a hands-on controls role supporting PLC, SCADA, HMI and associated control systems, with a focus on system reliability, troubleshooting and minimising customer downtime. Responsibilities Carry out planned and preventive maintenance on control systems and associated equipment. Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, SCADA, HMI and network-related faults. Provide reactive technical support to customers and respond to breakdowns. Support control system installation, testing and commissioning at client sites. Carry out pre-commissioning checks and troubleshoot issues during installation. Support system modifications, upgrades and performance improvements.
