Control Systems Engineer

Control Systems Engineer Exeter Up to 55kJob responsibilities: Interpreting and translating functional, control and system requirements into robust software solutionsProducing key design documentation, including I/O lists, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Software Design Specifications (SDS) and test documentationProgramming PLCs and HMIs, primarily Schneider, with exposure to Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and Mitsubishi systemsConfiguring and supporting SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, Rockwell and SiemensDelivering projects on time and within budget, in line with contractual and industry standardsApplying expert knowledge of PLC logic, flow?charting and system architectureInterpreting low?voltage electrical drawings and system schematicsAttending customer sites as required, representing the business professionally and living the company''s valuesReviewing, maintaining and updating legacy code where necessaryConducting system analysis and development, often working independentlyTesting and validating software to ensure full compliance with FDS and test plansProducing clear, consistent and well?structured code documentation aligned with best practice and company standardsExperience: HNC, HND or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronic EngineeringStrong IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and databasesProven experience with PLC programming in a customer?focused environment (Schneider, Allen Bradley, ..... full job details .....
