Technical Partners are currently looking to recruit an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join ourclients'' growing team in Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer or PLC/SCADA Engineer looking to work on a wide variety of technically challenging automation projects across multiple industries.

The Opportunity

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of control systems for automated processes. You''ll work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, delivering complete automation solutions from initial customer requirements through to implementation.

You''ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors, including food & beverage, chemical, marine and materials handling, giving you exposure to varied projects and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with clients to understand their technical requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
• Assist with the preparation of technical and costed proposals where required.
• Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and SCADA systems in line with customer specifications.
• Develop PLC control software using Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens platforms.
• Design and implement HMI and SCADA systems.
• Work closely with electrical design, process safety and control software engineers to deliver turnkey automation projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain a strong focus on system performance, reliability, quality and safety.

About You

We''re looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation.

You''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience within control systems engineering or industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Experience programming PLCs using Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms.
• A good understanding of industrial control systems and automated processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
