A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Controls System Engineer. Working for this prestigious engineering company, the successful candidate will have a strong technical skillset, enjoying a strong challenge and working as part of a team.
Role Description
* Responsible for all site Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS) aspects of projects and modifications.
* Understands IACS design and implementation, with a good understanding of DCS and PLC systems.
* Has a good understanding of industrial communications protocols such as Profibus, HART, Profinet, Device Net etc.
* Understands the process required to developing medium to long term strategy relating to site IACS in order to meet regulatory requirements.
* Develop and improve site control software including Delta-V, TIA Portal and various motor drive software, to improve efficiency of plant process equipment
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience working in an Industrial Manufacturing environment
* Relevant qualifications in automation (i.e. DCS / PLC control system configuration)
* HND or Engineering Degree (i.e. Automation / electrical / electronic or similar)
* Must have a valid driving licence as you will be required to travel to customer sites
