Control Room OperatorAbout the RoleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Duty Controller to join a high-performing operations team within a safety-critical infrastructure environment in London. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of a key highway and tunnel network. You will act as the central point of coordination during your shift, monitoring systems, managing incidents, and liaising with emergency services and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Monitoring and Operations Oversee the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the network at all times Monitor tunnel CCTV systems and highway conditions to identify hazards or debris Manage tunnel closure procedures and complete detailed reports following closures Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems Detect, assess, and verify incidents using PTZ and AME camera systems Monitor traffic conditions and report incidents in real time Maintain and update the tunnel manning board to track team deployment Incident Management and Reporting Accurately record all incidents, accidents, and near misses using internal systems Escalate operational incidents involving subcontractors or teams to senior management Liaise with emergency services, Transport for London, and other authorities as required Collate and communicate ongoing incident updates, ensuring clear shift handovers Maintain operational logs and ..... full job details .....
