About the Role

As a Control Panel Wireman / Assembler based in Banbury, you will build, wire, and assemble complex electrical control panels from detailed technical schematics. This permanent, full-time position offers flexibility on shift times, with options including 6am-2.30pm, 8am-4.30pm, or 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The salary ranges from £26,436 to £32,448 per annum, equating to £12.71-£15.60 per hour, dependent on experience. You will gain hands-on engineering experience, long-term stability, and opportunities to develop skills in PLCs and advanced automation systems. Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings and using hand tools is essential for this role.

This role is a Full Time, Permanent role and flexibility can be given on shift times, working Monday-Friday, which will be discussed in the interview stage.

The role is paying £12.71-£15.60ph, depending on experience.


Overview


We are looking for a skilled Control Panel Wireman / Assembler to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This role involves building, wiring, and assembling complex electrical control panels from detailed technical schematics. It offers hands-on engineering experience, long-term stability, and opportunities to develop skills in PLCs and advanced automation systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire control panels to a high industrial standard, including routing, terminating, crimping, and ferruling cables.
  • Install and secure electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, transformers, PLCs, and power supplies within enclosures.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Carry out precise Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly where required.
  • Safely use a range of hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, and torque drivers.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship, ensuring neat wiring layouts, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Support basic testing and inspection processes, including continuity testing (training provided if needed).
