Join a global leader in bespoke processing systems. We''re seeking an experienced Electrical Control Panel Technician (Control Panel Builder) to produce high-quality, custom-built panels for industrial, automation equipment. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role. Production is small-batch and highly customised, requiring precision, craftsmanship, and innovation
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire low-voltage control panels (Apply online only)V AC, single & three-phase; 24V DC)
- Interpret EPLAN schematics and BOMs
- Accurately install and terminate devices such as:
- Circuit protection devices, relays, solenoid valves
- Inverter drives, Soft Starts, Contactors
- HMIs, PLC systems (primarily Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley or Siemens)
- Work across a range of panel types including:
- Junction boxes, HMI enclosures, MCCs, and Multi-door cabinets
- Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble panel components
- Measure and mark out on various materials (stainless steel, GRP, mild/galvanised steel)
- Perform continuity testing and basic functional checks
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working area
- Work collaboratively with design and test engineers, under supervisor guidance
Requirements
- Significant panel building experience
- Skilled in schematic reading, wiring, and safe workshop practices
- Familiar with AC/DC systems and industrial components
Desirable
- Electrical qualifications/apprenticeship
- EPLAN experience
- Background in food machinery or automation
Hours
39 hrs/week, Mon-Fri. Early finish at 12.00 mid-day on Fridays. Overtime encouraged.
