Controls EngineerLocationHinckley / Coventry area, with customer-site travelWorking PatternFull-time, 37.5 hours per weekSalary45,000 - 60,000 (depending on skills and experience) plus paid overtime for approved additional hours worked.The RoleDue to continued business growth and the successful award of significant new projects, we are looking to recruit two experienced Controls Engineers for a well established client.This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of industrial automation and machinery projects, taking responsibility for the design, development, testing and commissioning of PLC, HMI and safety software systems.You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from software development through to site commissioning and customer handover. Customer-site travel will be required during commissioning activities, with flexible or hybrid working available during suitable software development phases.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop control software for Siemens TIA Portal/S7 and/or Rockwell Studio 5000-based systems.Support legacy systems where required, including Siemens S7 Classic and STL/IL code.Write PLC software from first principles for industrial machinery and automation projects.Develop HMI software and operator interfaces.Write, test and commission safety-related control software in line with project requirements and safety matrices.Configure and commission VFDs, servo drives, motion systems, fieldbus networks and remote I/O.Work ..... full job details .....
