Winsearch UK is proud to partner with an established architectural aluminium specialist, for a hands-on Contracts / Operations Manager to oversee multiple glazing and façade projects.

My client specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium systems, including curtain walling, windows, doors, shop fronts, sliding systems, bi-folding systems and fire-rated systems. They deliver projects across a range of sizes, from bespoke schemes through to larger commercial developments. 

The role

This is a broad, hands-on role where you''ll be involved across contracts, procurement, labour, programming and site issues.

My client needs someone who can take ownership, keep projects moving, and get stuck in where needed. This won''t suit someone who wants a narrow job description or has a "that''s not my job" attitude.

What you''ll be doing

• Managing multiple aluminium glazing and façade projects
• Coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and site requirements
• Working across curtain walling, windows, doors, shop fronts and wider aluminium packages
• Managing programmes and keeping projects on track
• Liaising with clients, main contractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Working closely with design, manufacturing and installation teams
• Resolving site issues quickly and practically
• Helping bring structure and accountability across live projects

What my client is looking for

• Experience in contracts, operations or project management within construction
• Background in aluminium glazing, curtain walling, windows, doors, shop fronts or façades
• Strong organisational skills and a practical mindset
• Experience managing multiple projects at once
• Good understanding of site delivery
• Comfortable dealing with labour, procurement, programming and client liaison
• Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership

The type of person who''ll do well

This will suit someone who is organised, hands-on and comfortable being involved in the detail.

You''ll need to be practical, commercially aware and confident dealing with site teams, clients and suppliers. My client is looking for someone who can spot problems early, take responsibility and help keep projects moving without needing constant direction.
