Contracts Manager
Contracts Manager
Location: Oxford (Regional coverage)
Salary: Highly Competitive + Car Allowance, Bonus & Full Benefits Package
Sector: Main Contracting (Refurbishment, Fit-Out & New Build)
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a highly respected, award-winning regional main contractor to recruit a strategic Contracts Manager for their thriving Oxford division.
This is a senior, operational leadership role. Instead of being tied to a single site, you will provide high-level orchestration, commercial oversight, and team leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role & Responsibilities
Sharing responsibility for a -20m divisional turnover with a fellow Contracts Manager (managing roughly -10m each), your focus will be on the "big picture":
Portfolio Management: Oversee approximately 10 live projects simultaneously, with typical values ranging from -500k to -3m.
Strategic Leadership: Step back from day-to-day firefighting to focus on profitability, programming, safety, and client satisfaction.
Team Management: Directly manage and mentor the Project Managers and Site Managers running each individual site.
Client Relations: Act as the senior point of contact for clients and consultants, building long-term relationships.
What We Are Looking For
This role is perfect for an established Contracts Manager, or a high-performing Project Manager looking to take a definitive step up into a senior, strategic position.
Experience: Proven track record within a UK main contractor, managing or exposed to multiple concurrent projects.
Skillset: Strong commercial acumen, excellent programming skills, and the ability to manage teams remotely.
Credentials: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and a full UK driving license.
Why Apply?
Step Up: Move away from being site-bound and transition into true operational management.
Stability: Join a financially secure contractor with an excellent reputation and a local, Oxford-based pipeline.
