Contracts Manager — Birmingham / Hybridto £65k + car / allowance + generous benefitsOur Birmingham based client specialises in the provision of bespoke automation and materials handling solutions to some of the biggest names in the UK. As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned program of strategic expansion, they are now seeking to recruit a articulate, dynamic and highly self-motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to complement their established and successful project team.Responsibilities
Maintain constant communication with site managers, staff and Clients to ensure proper operations of the company and consistency in the delivery of services, and develop quality assurance protocols where required.Ensure operational and deliverable activities remain on time and within budget; oversee all Client facing deliverables on behalf of the Company; identify opportunities to expand the Client portfolio and initiate conversations with industry providers regarding additional solutions to obtain future business.With essential knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015, responsibilities include understanding the requirements of potential Principal Contractor projects and developing initial budgetary costing documents with inclusions, exclusions and assumptions, in line with project requirements and legislation.Manage the project from a Principal Contractor Project Manager perspective, including full budgetary management of the project (including all direct suppliers and labour) and run weekly Client facing update meetings focusing on HandS and the Principal Contractor role; conduct regular site visits and attend weekly meetings on site or by Teams.Maintain an overall site activity HandS coordination role balancing the needs of all contractors and the Client, whilst noting that commercial matters will be dealt with by others.Develop CDM legal documentation such as the Construction Phase HandS Plan, TMPs, Fire Safety Plans, etc. for deliverable projects with the support of the Site Manager.Protect the company in matters relating to budgetary and service delivery, ensuring what is delivered is what was agreed and any exclusions or items outside of scope are not financially incurred.Manage company suppliers and labour contracts throughout a project (i.e. Cabins, Cleaners, Fire Extinguisher, Stationary, Internet Access, Security etc.).Collate all necessary HandS File Information / OandM Manuals from Contractors involved in the project and distribute to the Principal Designer (CDM) at completion stage. There may be instances where the successful candidate could be required to act as an additional resource to a sister division relevant to Construction HandS.Qualifications
NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (General or Construction) ideally.SMSTS trained.Member of the Associate of Project Safety (APS).At least 3 years of proven experience gained within the construction industry.Solid commercial acumen including strong skills in budget development and oversight and proficiency in conflict management, project management and business negotiation processes.Remuneration and How to Apply
