Contracts Manager - Mechanical

A well-established M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a mechanical bias to join their operations team in Livingston. 

This senior-level role involves overseeing multiple high-value mechanical projects across HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems, with full responsibility for commercial and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full lifecycle of mechanical contracts ranging from £100k to £5m+
• Lead commercial forecasting, cost control, and profitability tracking
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure service excellence
• Mentor and support project teams to drive performance and accountability
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and contractual obligations
• Oversee procurement, materials, labour, and subcontractor coordination
• Maintain programme schedules and ensure delivery to budget and quality standards

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in M&E contracts management within construction
• Strong technical background in mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, heating)
• Proven track record managing complex, high-value contracts
• Experience in fit-out and design & build projects is advantageous
• HND or degree in a construction-related discipline
• Proficient in Asta Power Project or MS Project
• Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
• Solid understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
