About the Company

An established design-led construction contractor delivering high quality residential, heritage and refurbishment projects across the South East. With over 20 years of industry experience, the business specialises in carefully managed builds ranging from bespoke new homes to complex restorations and large-scale renovations, working closely with architects, consultants and private clients.

Why Join Them

This Contracts Manager position offers involvement in technically interesting and well-planned projects where quality of delivery takes priority over volume. The company maintains a stable pipeline of secured work and operates with experienced site and commercial teams, creating a collaborative and professional working environment.

The role provides autonomy, long-term stability and the opportunity to oversee projects that demand strong coordination, attention to detail and proactive leadership rather than high-volume turnover.

About the Role

The Contracts Manager will oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes, quality standards and commercial objectives are achieved from pre-construction through to completion.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the commercial team, the Contracts Manager will provide strategic oversight, support delivery teams and maintain consistent standards across all sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing several live construction projects across the region

  • Supporting Project Managers and Site Managers with delivery strategy

  • Monitoring programme performance and resolving delivery challenges

  • Ensuring projects meet quality, safety and contractual requirements

  • Coordinating with clients, consultants and design teams

  • Overseeing resource planning across multiple sites

  • Reviewing project progress, risk and performance reporting

  • Supporting procurement and subcontractor coordination

  • Working alongside commercial teams to manage budgets and forecasts

  • Driving consistent construction standards and best practice

Projects typically include high-specification residential builds, heritage restorations and complex refurbishment schemes requiring careful planning and coordination.

Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager seeking involvement in thoughtfully delivered construction projects within a stable and respected contractor environment. The role suits someone who values quality workmanship, structured project delivery and collaborative working relationships.
