Contracts Manager

A specialist contractor operating across the UK is looking to appoint a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing and waterproofing projects within the rail sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical understanding of both traditional and modern roofing systems, and experience working on rail infrastructure-primarily off-track.

With a growing order book of infrastructure and transport-based projects, this company offers long-term stability, technical variety, and the opportunity to lead delivery on high-profile works. Travel across the UK is required, with accommodation and expenses fully covered.

• Manage the full project lifecycle for roofing and waterproofing works across multiple rail sites

• Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery

• Liaise with clients, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and specifications are met

• Conduct site visits and audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and rail safety requirements

• Programme works, allocate resources, and coordinate logistics for nationwide sites

• Support project reporting, client updates, and contract administration

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Site/Project Manager ready to step up) within roofing/waterproofing

• Solid knowledge of both heritage/traditional roofing systems and modern roofing techniques/materials

• Experience working on rail infrastructure projects, particularly in off-track environments

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Willingness to travel and manage UK-wide projects (travel and accommodation provided)

• A PTS card is desirable but not essential - support may be provided for the right candidate
