About the Role

Reporting to senior management, the Contracts Manager (Cleaning Services) will oversee multiple commercial cleaning contracts across Exeter and the wider South West and Wales region. This temporary position, with potential to become permanent, carries a salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum, plus company car or allowance and a bonus scheme. Duties include managing several contracts simultaneously, building and maintaining strong client relationships, conducting regular site visits and ensuring service standards are met. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, as frequent travel between sites is essential. Previous cleaning management experience is required, along with strong organisational and communication skills.

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple commercial cleaning contracts across the South West & Wales
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with previous cleaning management experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Location: Covering
Due to the nature of the position, a full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel between sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities

Managing multiple cleaning contracts across various locations.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Conducting regular site visits to monitor cleaning standards and client satisfaction.
Managing recruitment, onboarding, training and development of staff.
Carrying out site audits and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
Handling client queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Ensuring sites have appropriate staffing levels, equipment and supplies.
Managing performance, disciplinary and grievance matters in line with company procedures.
Providing ongoing coaching, guidance and support to teams.

About You

Previous experience managing commercial cleaning contracts is essential.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience with recruitment, training and staff development.
Health & Safety knowledge or qualifications advantageous.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence essential.
Flexible approach to working across sites and supporting operational requirements.
