Contract QA Consultant

Working closely with their partner training network, they help their students achieve their goals while maintaining a friendly, student-centred culture.The RoleOn behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior QA Consultant (Freelance) to work on contract for around 6 months, working 1 day per week. Based in North Somerset, Bristol. This role is to help mature their QA processes and capability. This hands-on advisory and coaching role works closely with the internal QA tester and development team, providing guidance, feedback, and best-practice recommendations to build confidence, structure, and ownership over QA activities.Responsibilities will include• Review existing QA processes, tooling, and workflows across web applications. • Provide guidance on building and maintaining effective QA strategies and test plans. • Mentor and coach the internal QA tester, helping them grow into a QA Lead-level role. • Advise on appropriate use of manual vs automated testing. • Review test cases, documentation, and defect management practices, offering constructive feedback. • Support the team in understanding testing effort and resourcing needs. • Promote pragmatic, high-value QA practices suitable for a small development team.The Person:The ..... full job details .....
