About the Role

Energi People seeks a Contract Principal Structural Engineer for a 12-month rolling assignment in London, paying £50-55 per hour via an outside IR35 arrangement. This role involves leading substantial projects, including £35m multi-storey RC residential schemes, a £25m steel-framed commercial build, and industrial structures, alongside varied data centre work. You will manage a team of engineers, overseeing delivery of major schemes from a South London base, with two to three office days preferred. The position demands proven capability in running complex projects and directing junior staff. Contractors with strong technical proficiency across concrete, steel, and industrial sectors will find this a sustained engagement.

Contract Principal Structural Design Engineer
A well-established firm of consulting engineers based in South London are currently looking to employ a Contract Principal Structural Design Engineer on a rolling contract basis for an initial 12-month role.
Current workload is strong with projects to include multi-story story RC framed residential projects worth £35million, a steel framed commercial project worth £25million, industrial structures up to £10m in value along with various Data Centre projects.
The successful candidate must have excellent abilities to run major projects with a team of engineers beneath them.
Our client would ideally like someone to be in the office 2-3 days a week. Their offices have strong train and transport links.
This is an Outside IR35 role a Ltd Company can be used.
