Contract Manager
We are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to assist them in hiring a Contracts Manager for their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout Central Scotland. As a Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing operational leadership while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
As the Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Central Scotland.
* Leading and supporting Project Managers, Site Agents, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Monitoring commercial performance, project programmes, and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
* Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all projects.
* Identifying business opportunities, managing project risks, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Manager within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
* A strong track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects and operational teams.
* Excellent commercial awareness with a sound understanding of NEC contracts and project financial management.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
* A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, together with SMSTS and CSCS certification. Experience delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm, or utilities projects would be highly advantageous.
