Salary: -65,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Role Overview
The Contract Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of hard facilities management services across a portfolio of client sites throughout London. Based at the company''s office near Heathrow, the role combines operational management with regular site visits to ensure service excellence, statutory compliance, and strong client relationships.
Working closely with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and internal support functions, the Contract Manager will oversee contract performance, financial management, health and safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of hard FM services across multiple client sites.
- Ensure contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Chair client review meetings and provide regular performance reports.
Operational Delivery
- Lead and support engineering teams delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
- Undertake regular site visits across London to monitor service quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage specialist subcontractors and ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Resolve operational issues and drive continuous service improvement.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across all contracts.
- Maintain compliance records and support audit readiness.
Financial Management
- Manage contract budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Monitor profitability and identify opportunities for efficiencies and growth.
- Prepare quotations for additional works and oversee project delivery.
- Review subcontractor performance and commercial value.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop engineering and supervisory teams.
- Manage performance, training, and development.
- Support contract mobilisation and business growth initiatives where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager within Hard FM or Building Services.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience managing mobile engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Good commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and P&L.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across London.
