Contract Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Contract Design Engineer to support the development of innovative engineered products, taking designs from initial concept through to production. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with knowledge of CREO to contribute to product development within a technically focused engineering environment.Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and testing specialists, you will be responsible for producing high-quality designs, detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation, ensuring products meet performance, quality, reliability and manufacturing requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine engineering designs from concept through to production.Produce accurate 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings and supporting technical documentation.Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), component specifications and associated engineering data.Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and design records.Select appropriate materials and components, balancing performance, cost, reliability and manufacturability.Support product validation and testing activities, including the preparation of test specifications where required.Apply engineering methodologies, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and risk assessment.Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers and external testing specialists to resolve technical issues and improve designs.Provide ..... full job details .....
