Consultant Site Engineer

Our client is seeking a Consultant Site Engineer to support the delivery of a major civil engineering project in South Lincolnshire. The works involve the replacement of approximately 150 metres of existing open channel, including extensive sheet piling and reinforced concrete structures. This freelance consultancy assignment is expected to run from the week commencing 21 September 2026 through to February 2027.Key Responsibilities:Setting out and managing dimensional control for sheet piling and reinforced concrete worksEnsuring construction activities comply with design drawings, specifications and required tolerancesCoordinating specialist subcontractor packages throughout the construction processProviding technical support to site operations and engineering teamsMonitoring quality assurance procedures, including inspections, inspection and test plans and site recordsReviewing and verifying as-built informationIdentifying and resolving engineering and construction issues on siteLiaising with designers, subcontractors, site management and client representatives to support programme deliveryJob Requirements:Proven experience as a Site Engineer on heavy civil engineering or highways projectsStrong practical knowledge of sheet piling operationsSignificant experience delivering reinforced concrete worksConfident setting out and dimensional control skillsUnderstanding of construction quality management, inspections and technical recordsExperience overseeing specialist ..... full job details .....
