Consultant / Senior - Waste and Contaminant Hydrogeologist

Purpose and Scope of the Role Tetra Tech is a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services. Our Groundwater and Geothermal Team forms part of a wider geo-environmental and water business and delivers projects for public and private sector clients across the UK and Ireland. Our work spans water resources, minerals and waste, environmental management, infrastructure, energy, defence, property and mining. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious hydrogeologist with relevant experience to join our team at Consultant or Senior Hydrogeologist grade. The role will focus primarily on groundwater and contaminant transport projects, including hydrogeological risk assessments for landfill / deposit for recovery schemes, permit variations and surrender, environmental compliance and hydrogeological assessments for planning. The appointment may be made at Consultant or Senior Hydrogeologist grade, depending on your experience. At Senior grade, we would expect you to demonstrate greater independence in managing defined work packages or smaller projects, acting as a day-to-day client contact, providing technical assurance and reviewing the work of less experienced colleagues. You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, contributing to technical and commercial delivery from initial scoping through field investigation, assessment, reporting and regulatory submission.
