Consultant Quantity SurveyorManchester Hybrid 6 to 12 months FreelanceA Tier 1 consultancy is looking for an experienced Consultant Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways maintenance programme in Manchester.This is a freelance opportunity initially for 6 months, with the potential to extend up to 12 months. The role will be based in Manchester 2 days per week, with the remaining time working from home.You will work as part of the highways commercial and governance team, providing commercial support across reactive, preventative and planned maintenance programmes. This will include carriageway resurfacing, footway improvements, drainage works and wider highway asset maintenance schemes.The role will suit a Quantity Surveyor with a strong civil engineering or highways background who is comfortable working across the full commercial lifecycle and has solid NEC4 experience.Key responsibilities:Provide full commercial support across highways maintenance and planned maintenance projects from procurement through to final accountsUndertake measurement, cost planning, estimating, forecasting and commercial reporting across a range of highway schemesManage commercial processes including valuations, payments, cost value reconciliations, cashflows and budget forecastingIdentify, assess and manage variations, compensation events, risks and other commercial changes in accordance with NEC4 contract requirementsSupport tendering and procurement activities, including preparation and ..... full job details .....
