Consultant Psychiatrist - Low Secure Forensic Service

The service is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in forensic psychiatry to work within the low secure male mental illness inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient community service in York.
The service is open to part-time and flexible working. The final program of activities will be worked out with the post holder on a ratio of 7.5 direct clinical care to 2.5 supporting professional activities.

About us
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. This is a 10 PA post plus a 3% category B availability for out of hours on-call duties.

Person Specification
QualificationsEssential
MBBS
Full registration with the General Medical Council with a license to practice
CCT or CESR in Forensic or WAA psychiatry (with appropriate experience) or inclusion on the GMC specialist register anticipated within the next 6 months
Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
Approved under Section 12 (2)
Approved Clinician status (may be anticipated within the next 6 months)
