Overview

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established inpatient mental health service specialising in rehabilitation and acute care for women. The role involves leading clinical care for detained patients under the Mental Health Act within a multidisciplinary team. This service supports women with complex mental health needs, including trauma and personality disorders, in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.Salary:

Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health ActLead multidisciplinary ward rounds and risk assessmentsProvide psychiatric input to care planning and treatment decisionsParticipate in clinical governance and management meetingsSupervise and support junior medical and multidisciplinary team membersContribute to in-house training and CPD activitiesMaintain professional revalidation and CPD requirementsQualifications

CCT in General Adult or Forensic PsychiatryMRCPsych or equivalent medical qualificationExperience in inpatient settings with Mental Health Act patientsPrevious consultant experience with leadership responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of current psychiatry legislation and service deliveryBenefits
