Consultant Psychiatrist

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Diss, Norfolk area.You will be working for one of UK''s leading health care providersThis service provides low secure care and specialised treatment for adults aged 18 years and older with a learning disability.Patients may also have other associated conditions including personality disorders, mental illnesses and autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs)**To be considered for this position be medically qualified with MRC Psych or equivalent and on GMC''s specialist register**As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTAssess referrals and undertake mental state examinations of service usersUndertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis and treatmentParticipate in ward rounds and clinical auditsLead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management and embed clinical governanceSupervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers'' hearings and attend hearingsParticipate in the 1 in 6/7 telephone on-call rotaThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosisKnowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of CapacityA first-rate communicator who can interview, assess and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notesCommitted to continued professional developmentAble to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teamThe successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £160,000 - £170,000 per annum DOE.This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:Annual leave 25 days to 30 days depending on length of service - plus your birthday off!Free meals and parkingWellbeing support and activitiesCareer development and trainingPension contributionEnhanced Maternity PackageReference ID: 6312To apply for this fantastic job role, please call on 0121 638 0567 or send your ..... full job details .....
