Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to contribute to the leadership and clinical expertise of highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary teams within an acute female 17-beded inpatient ward in Aylesbury?Do you have an interest in working with people with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs?You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training.If you are highly motivated and able to demonstrate adapting to the changing circumstances of modern mental healthcare, we look forward to your application!What We Offer

QualificationsMembership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification (in accordance with Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Guidelines).Approved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12 (MHA) approval are essential. Candidates who are in the process of getting AC approval will be considered.Desirable criteriaHigher degree or equivalent in relevant field of medical, psychological or other studiesTrainingHigher specialist training in psychiatry in approved training post for a minimum of three years, equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this post.CCT in Psychiatry; OR Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry; OR within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview.Desirable criteriaSub-speciality or other specialist clinical training relevant to post.Other requirementsTransport - Mobility as required for the post.Desirable criteriaDriving licence and own transport.Documents to Download
