Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disability (RRP 30K) – Permanent, Full Time 10 PAs. Based in Hillingdon Learning Disability Team, CNWL. The role is for a Consultant Psychiatrist working with intellectually disabled adults in London.Learning Disabilities Service, Hillingdon. The post offers a Golden Hello for up to 30K (taxable and non-pensionable) and relocation package up to 8K (subject to eligibility), along with generous annual leave entitlement, study leave, NHS pension scheme and staff discounts.CNWL has strong links with Brunel University; the successful candidate will have the option to take up an extra 1PA as an educational post. Flexible working may be discussed.Main duties of the job

Provide a Consultant Psychiatric service for adults with Learning Disabilities living in Hillingdon.Support and develop ongoing psychiatric input to people with Learning Disabilities living in the community.Attend community referrals and complex case reviews, clinical governance and management meetings; clinical caseload includes clinic-based appointments, work in local residential providers and day resources.Provide Consultant Psychiatric service for LD patients admitted on Frays and Crane Ward at The Riverside Centre; include Responsible Clinician cover and attendance at weekly ward rounds, MDT meetings, and tribunal report preparation.Lead collaboration with mainstream mental health services within the Borough.Participate in shaping new services in response to NHS changes, in collaboration with Clinical and Service Managers.Person specification

Training And Qualifications

Essential criteriaFully registered with the GMC with a license to practiceIncluded on the GMC specialist register or CCT within 6 months of interviewApproved under section 12(2) MHA, 1983 or within 3 monthsApproved Clinician status or within 3 months of appointmentDesirable criteriaMRCPsych or equivalentInclusion on GMC specialist register for learning disabilitiesManagement training/qualificationsRoyal College of Psychiatrists specialist trainer statusHigher degree in Psychiatry (LLM, MD or PhD)Knowledge
