Your role will be to hold RC responsibility for patients admitted to the unit. You will provide medical leadership to the MDT. The role provides excellent opportunity in being a leader and work on improving pathways for patients within the service.You will be supported by a medical secretary. We are looking for applicants based anywhere in the UK to explore exciting new opportunities in remote and digital working.This is a substantive post however we would be happy to consider applicants available on a part time or fixed term basis.About us

Registration with the GMC (or eligible to become registered) with a licence to practiceIncluded on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion or included within six months of CCTApproved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointmentPossess a CCT or (equivalence) in old age PsychiatryPostgraduate qualifications in a relevant fieldHas undergone training in educational supervisionHas undergone training in appraisalExperience of multi-disciplinary team workingUp to date knowledge and high level of clinical skills and competence in diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders in learning disability populationExperience of clinical auditExcellent teaching skillsDemonstrate the ability to work in a time efficient mannerAble to meet the mobility requirements of the postAn area of special interest relevant to the post as demonstrated by publications or presentations to learned societiesExperience in multi-agency work especially with service user, carer and voluntary agenciesEstablished record of clinical leadershipEstablished ability as a clinical teacherTraining in specific and relevant treatment skills eg a brief form of psychological therapyExperience in service management or developmentFitness to Practise
