Consultant Psychiatrist - Eating Disorder Service (10PA)The post is a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist position within the Eating Disorder Service, aligned to supporting the Children and Young People pathway. The service is an all-age service with work bases across Ormskirlk, Nelson, Preston, Blackpool and Lancaster. The post is full time (10 PAs) and includes joining the out-of-hours Consultant rota, for which additional remuneration is payable. The role offers flexibility to discuss the main work base with occasional visits to other bases as needed.Responsibilities
Direct interventions with patients, including psychiatric and medical assessments, and formulation of complex cases with medical and psychiatric needs.Take a leading role in monitoring and treating physical conditions of eating disorders in collaboration with dieticians, physicians, paediatricians, general practitioners and other colleagues.Contribute to multidisciplinary care and participate in relevant clinical activities within the Eating Disorder Service.Qualifications and Regulation
Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or eligibility for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or be eligible to have Approved Clinician Status.Remuneration and Contract
Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience. The post is 10 PAs and includes eligibility for a Golden Hello payment (5% of basic salary payable over 2 years where applicable). Additional remuneration applies for out-of-hours rota participation.Additional Information
