Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a new opportunity within Adult Autism Diagnostic and Intervention and ADHD Diagnostic services in Buckinghamshire?This is a county-wide service currently based at Whiteleaf Centre, Aylesbury. You will carry no responsibility for inpatients. Owing to different funding streams and mental health needs of the service users, the service consists of two teams, with some clinicians working across both teams.There will be flexibility for suitable candidates who would want to work additional sessions in CAMHS/ General adult/ Older Adult service. There are close links with Oxford University including term-time weekly academic meetings, regular research meetings, research opportunities, journal clubs and audit meetings.You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training.What We Offer:£15,000 recruitment bonusRelocation allowance of up to £8,000*Eligibility criteria applyResponsibilities
Main duties of the job include opportunities for teaching and training of medical students, postgraduate doctors, multidisciplinary team members and other service providers, and for appraising and mentoring consultant colleagues. There will be opportunities for medical input into the Centre for Patient Safety and Quality and collaboration with the Biomedical Research Centre, CLAHRC or NIHR Clinical Research Network as part of the agreed job plan. The Trust hosts or collaborates with a wide range of research infrastructure and has recently set up a Centre for Patient Safety and Quality.There are extensive links with Oxford University including academic meetings, research opportunities, journal clubs and audit meetings.
