The closing date is 08 October 2025Sheffield Children''s NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our dynamic SEDATT (Sheffield Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Team) based within Community CAMHS at Centenary House.This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of young people''s mental health in one of only four dedicated Children''s Trusts in the UK.As a leading centre for integrated children''s services, we''re committed to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in care.Interviews expected to be held on Monday 20th October 2025 in person.Main duties of the job
You will report to the Associate Medical Director, and responsibilities will include :Deliver expert psychiatric assessment and evidence-based care for young people.Lead clinical decision-making, contribute to triage, MDTs, and ward rounds.Collaborate across disciplines and agencies to shape holistic care plans.Join specialist clinics and help shape service development.Support training for resident doctors and multi-agency teams.Participate in the CAMHS consultant on-call rota and Mental Health Act assessments.About us

Qualifications
Relevant specialist qualification or equivalent Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent or within 6 months of gaining CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Section 12(2) Approval and AC statusKnowledge and Skills
Appropriate training and experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Interest in Eating disordersAble to communicate well with children, parents and staff Ability to work as a team with professional colleagues from medical and other disciplinesPrevious experience of managing Eating Disorders in CAMHSAbility to teach, teaching qualificationsDemonstrates Trust Values
