Consultant, Electronic and Physical Security Design Engineering

We are looking for a Consultant to join our Electronic and Physical Security Design Engineering team in London. As the Consultant you will lead and manage security design consulting engagements to a professional standard; independently and/or in support of other senior colleagues, and the Director. You will be a subject matter expert of electronic security systems and manage security design and installation projects from conception to completion. You will maintain client and company deliverables, ensuring that high quality is maintained, and the client and company budgets and programs are met and maintained. You will also develop and build new and existing client relationships, facilitating where appropriate the introduction and provision of additional Control Risks services. Please note that this role will be based at our London office where we operate a hybrid working model; some international travel will also be required.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesConsultingUndertake technical security reviews, audits, design surveys, installation inspections and approvals, and other similar tasks, working at client sites and in the officeDesign of physical and electronic security systems to an appropriate level, working in conjunction with specialist engineers within project design teamsAct as the lead consultant on assignments, owning problems and providing problem solving at the local levelLead and participate in client and project meetingsEnsure that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client best interestMaintain and develop long-term client relationships; act in conjunction with key account managersMaintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing within each monthDelivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to high standardsWork collaboratively with the entire team and draw on their experiences and opinionsFrom time-to-time the role may involve travel to client sites and Control Risks offices within the Middle East, Europe and AfricaPro-actively seek opportunities to develop projects and businessSeek opportunities to be involved in business development, in conjunction with the Associate Director and DirectorContribute to marketing and profile-raising eventsParticipate in client meetingsDevelop long-term client relationshipsProvide expert knowledge of security consulting and other Control Risks service linesTask managementAct as the lead consultant on assignments, owning problems and providing problem solving at the local levelLead and participate in client and project meetingsEnsure that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client best interestMaintain and develop long-term client relationships; act in conjunction with key account managersMaintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing within each monthTask deliveryDelivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to high standardsWork collaboratively with the entire team and draw on their experiences and opinionsFrom time-to-time the role may involve travel to client sites and Control Risks offices within the Middle East, Europe and AfricaBusiness developmentPro-actively seek opportunities to develop projects and businessSeek opportunities to be involved in business development, in conjunction with the Associate Director and DirectorContribute to marketing and profile-raising eventsParticipate in client meetingsDevelop long-term client relationshipsTeam / practice developmentProvide expert knowledge of security consulting and other Control Risks service linesRequirementsProven Experience: A background in security integration, design, consulting, or engineering, with specific experience in designing electronic and physical security systems.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and other security technologies, with the ability to specify, design, and evaluate these systems.Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
