Your new company An established environmental consultancy is seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join its growing ecology team supporting a major infrastructure framework across the Midlands. The business delivers a wide range of ecological services to public and private sector clients and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced ecologists on complex, high-profile projects.Your new role As a Consultant Ecologist, you''ll play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, project work and technical reporting across a variety of infrastructure projects. Working within a collaborative ecology team, you will manage your own workload while contributing to project delivery from initial survey through to reporting and client liaison.Key duties will include:Undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs)Carrying out protected species and habitat surveysProducing and reviewing technical reportsManaging ecological projects and deliverablesSupporting infrastructure and development projectsConducting habitat assessments and botanical surveysLiaising with clients, contractors and internal stakeholdersProviding ecological advice and guidance throughout project life cyclesManaging Junior and Graduate EcologistsThis role will involve a combination of site work and office-based technical delivery, with approximately three days focused on reporting, project management and desk-based tasks.What you''ll need to succeed Previous experience within an ecological consultancyStrong ..... full job details .....
