Construction Technician Location: Northamptonshire Salary: Up to £25,700 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Full-time Think FE is recruiting for a Construction Technician to join the Construction department of a well-established further education college in Northamptonshire. This is a practical, hands-on role supporting busy construction workshops and helping ensure practical lessons run safely and smoothly. The role You ll work alongside teaching staff to prepare workshops, tools and materials for practical sessions, while helping maintain a safe and organised learning environment. Key responsibilities include: Preparing tools and materials for practical classes Setting up, cleaning and resetting workshops Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs Monitoring stock, tools and equipment Ordering materials and maintaining records Supporting students during practical activities Maintaining high standards of health and safety Following safeguarding and college procedures About you You ll ideally have experience in construction, building services, maintenance or a practical workshop environment. You should be organised, confident using tools and materials, and comfortable working with both staff and students.
