Job Advert: Construction Technician Position: Construction Technician Location: East London Salary: £20 - £30 Per Hour Contract: Full-time, 35 hours per week About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Technician to join our Construction Department. Working alongside our Construction Lecturers, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical teaching and learning across a range of construction programmes, including brickwork, carpentry and joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating, and other construction trades. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys sharing their knowledge and contributing to the development of the next generation of skilled tradespeople. Key Responsibilities Prepare workshops, classrooms, tools, equipment, and materials for practical lessons across a range of construction disciplines. Support lecturers during practical training sessions, ensuring students work safely and effectively. Maintain construction workshops and practical training areas to a high standard, ensuring tools, machinery, and equipment are clean, serviced, organised, and ready for use. Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on workshop equipment and report any faults or defects. Monitor, organise, and replenish stocks of materials, consumables, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
