Construction Technician - Further Education College (East London)Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Contract: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: East LondonAbout the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and skilled Construction Technician to join our successful Construction Department. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality vocational education and help develop the next generation of construction professionals.Working closely with lecturers and learners, you will prepare workshops, maintain equipment, support practical sessions, and ensure that all learning environments meet the highest standards of health and safety. Typical responsibilities for FE Construction Technicians include preparing materials and equipment, supporting practical workshops, maintaining stock and ensuring safe learning environments. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare workshops, tools, materials and equipment for practical lessons.Support lecturers during construction training sessions.Maintain construction workshops and storage areas to a high standard.Monitor and control stock levels, ordering materials when required.Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and equipment.Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and college procedures.Assist students with practical activities and demonstrations where appropriate.Support open days, employer engagement events and learner enrichment activities.Maintain accurate records relating to ..... full job details .....
