Construction Solicitor 1-2 year PQE

AJ Chambers are pleased to be working with a top law firm who are currently recruiting for a Construction Solicitor to Join their growing legal team.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the day to day running of files with appropriate supervisionAdvising on every aspect of construction contracts (e.g. payments, extensions of time, loss and expense, defects)Drafting witness statements, briefs to counsel, letters of instruction to experts and letters of claimCE Filing mainly in the Technology and Construction CourtLiaising directly with clientsOrganising and maintaining tidy and accurate filesParticipating in seminars and contributing to the department''s publicationsFollowing department procedures, the Solicitors'' accounts rules and the Firm''s policies and procedures as detailed in the Staff ManualUndertaking such duties and tasks that are appropriate for the role of Solicitor such as changes in information systems and new technology as may reasonably be requiredKey Requirements:A minimum of 1-2 year''s post qualification in contentious constructionA strong academic background with at least a 2:1 at degree levelProactive and prepared to work independently, escalating issues/matters as appropriate and always adopting a can-do attitudeExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExperience of adjudicationsAble to effectively handle competing deadlines amongst a large workloadStrong inter-personal skills working within a team but equally confident in ..... full job details .....
