Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, leisure, and retail.

This role involves full lifecycle project management, from pre-construction planning through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Take full ownership of multiple construction projects from inception through to completion
  • Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, including Site Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project performance, including cost control, risk management, and programme delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Review and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with scope and quality expectations
  • Oversee snagging, commissioning, and final handover to ensure client satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance project delivery

Education, skills and experience:-

  • NVQ Level 6 Construction Management / Degree Qualified
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, ideally delivering refurbishment and fit-out projects
  • Experience managing projects typically ranging from -500k to -10M
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Must be willing to travel or lodge away
