Construction Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join an established construction business delivering projects across the North West.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The Role

• Manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Prepare, monitor and update project programmes and short-term works plans.
• Coordinate Site Managers, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and take corrective action where required.
• Manage project risks, opportunities and resources.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide regular progress reports and project updates.
• Work closely with the commercial team on variations, costs, forecasting and contractual matters.
• Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality throughout the project.
• Lead and support site-based teams.
• Manage project documentation, handover and close-out.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong understanding of project delivery and site operations.

You should have:

• Previous construction project management experience.
• Strong programme and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and construction best practice.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Essential Qualifications

• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• Relevant construction management experience on projects -5M plus
• HNC/HND or degree in a construction-related discipline
