Construction Project Manager - Aftercare

Fawkes and Reece West are working in partnership with a Tier 1 construction company to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their Aftercare team on a permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in construction aftercare, defects management and contractual procedures to join a leading contractor, overseeing projects across the North of England and Scotland.The RoleAs Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing building defects and aftercare activities, ensuring issues are identified, managed and resolved efficiently ahead of project handover and throughout the relevant defects period.You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure defects are addressed to the required standards, helping to facilitate a smooth handover process and maintain strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate building defects across multiple construction projects.Oversee the identification, reporting and resolution of defects prior to handover and during the Defects Liability Period.Ensure defects are rectified in line with contractual obligations and agreed timescales.Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders to drive timely resolutions.Maintain a strong understanding of JCT contracts, retention provisions and defects-related contractual obligations.Monitor outstanding defects and ensure appropriate close-out procedures are followed.Travel regularly ..... full job details .....
