Construction Manager My client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join their team on a major micro tunnelling project. Construction Manager Responsibilities Manage the day to day delivery of a major micro tunnelling scheme, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. Oversee tunnelling operations, including Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) activities, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. Lead and coordinate Site Agents, Site Engineers, Foremen, operatives, and subcontractors, promoting a collaborative and high-performing site environment. Develop and implement construction programmes, ensuring labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors are effectively managed to achieve project milestones. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, RAMS, permits, and company procedures. Work closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, designers, and client representatives to resolve technical and operational issues. Monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation measures to maintain programme and budget targets. Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed throughout the project, carrying out regular inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
