Construction Labourer

ODIN Recruitment are looking for a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will assist experienced Groundworkers with a variety of construction and groundwork activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist experienced Groundworkers with all aspects of groundwork and civil engineering projects.
* Prepare construction sites by clearing, setting out, and organising materials and equipment.
* Assist with block paving, paving, concrete works, formwork (shuttering), and ducting installations.
* Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment around site.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
* Assist with mixing and pouring concrete and preparing excavation areas.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
* Follow instructions from Site Managers, Project Managers, and Groundworkers.
* Comply with all company policies, site rules, and health and safety legislation.
* Report any hazards, accidents, or damaged equipment immediately.
* Carry out general labouring duties as required to support the successful completion of projects.

Person Specification

Essential

* Previous construction or labouring experience.
* Willingness to learn and assist experienced Groundworkers.
* Good work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude.
* Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Valid CSCS Card.

Working Hours

* Full-time.
* Working nationwide.
* Staying away from home will be required for 3–4 nights per week.
* Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project demands.
