Construction Health and Safety Coordinator (Temporary Works)

Are you an experienced safety in construction professional? Do you have prior experience issuing Permits To Work and inspecting loads? Are you based in or around Swansea? The successful applicant will be a safety conscious construction industry professional with prior experience managing safety on a large heavy industry site. On this occasion, only applicants with full right to work in the UK already in place can be considered Role: Temporary Works Coordinator Location: Tata Steel, Port Talbot works, Swansea, SA13 2NG Rate: £21.07-£22.66ph (dependent upon experience) Contract length: 36 months Shift Patterns: 36.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Timings: Mon-Thu 07:30-15:45 and Fri 07:30-14:45 Start: ASAP, pending the successful completion of a medical, which does include a Drug and Alcohol test Responsibilities: Maintaining the Temporary Works Register (TWR) Creating and keeping an up-to-date log of every single temporary works item required across the project Ensuring a design brief is issued for every temporary structure and that the resulting design is checked Issuing Permit To Work Enforcing formal procedural controls relating to Permit To Work, Permit To Load Overseeing Site Execution and Inspections Stop-Work Authority being put in place as required Essential requirements: Previous experience on a large infrastructure construction site or heavy industry site in a Health ..... full job details .....
