Construction Estimator

Estimator - Construction - Milton Keynes We are working on behalf of an established Main Contractor looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who is comfortable managing high-value, complex tenders and taking responsibility for the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission. The Role Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Commercial teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders across a range of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and preparing tenders from initial review through to final submission Reviewing drawings, specifications, tender documentation and bills of quantities Completing detailed take-offs and preparing accurate cost estimates Producing tender programmes and identifying key commercial risks and opportunities Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations Developing competitive procurement strategies for each tender Working closely with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and the wider pre-construction team Attending tender review meetings and contributing to bid strategy Carrying out value engineering to identify potential cost savings and alternative solutions Ensuring submissions are commercially robust, accurate and delivered within tender deadlines Supporting tender handovers to the operational and commercial teams following successful ..... full job details .....
