Construction Commercial Manager

Looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join our client for an immediate start. This is a key leadership position within the business, based at their Horley/Gatwick office, with overall responsibility for leading and developing the commercial function within the construction sector.The successful candidate will lead an established team while helping shape the next phase of growth.Current Team Structure2 x Quantity Surveyors2 x Commercial/Accounts Administrators4 x EstimatorsThere is significant opportunity to develop and expand this team as the business continues to grow.Role ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the commercial department across surveying and estimating.Provide strategic commercial direction and report directly to the Managing Director and Board.Drive commercial performance, profitability and cash generation across all projects.Quantity SurveyingOversee monthly applications for payment.Manage cashflow, including payment notices and pay less notices.Account management and client review meetings.Final account preparation and negotiation.Commercial reporting, forecasting and risk management.EstimatingProvide commercial oversight of all tender submissions.Review tender documentation and contract orders.Assess commercial terms and conditions.Identify contractual risks, opportunities and key commercial considerations.Ensure consistency and quality across all estimating activities.Commercial ManagementTake overall commercial responsibility for live ..... full job details .....
